Pharmaceutical company “Limedika” was established in 1994. At the end of 2007 it was merged into the PGF (Polska Grupa Farmaceutyczna) which had acquired the controlling share of the JSC „Limedika“.
PGF retails pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, health protection means, herbal preparations and cosmetics. Retail of pharmaceutical products takes the greatest part of whole company’s’ turnover (90 percents). This Polish pharmaceutical group is the largest supplier of drugs, pharmaceuticals and equipment to Polish hospitals. In respect of the company’s turnover, the PGF company is one of the 100 largest companies in the Central and East Europe. The PGF is included to the list of the Warsaw gilt-edged market.
In 2007 the JSC “Limedika” was the first wholesale pharmaceutical company added to the List of Officially approved suppliers (LOAS). Company growth and operating efficiency is induced by highly qualified specialists, rational management and continuous attention paid to the spheres of business expansion: assortment expansion, quality and prompt service, loyal customers and competitive prices. Activities of the JSC “Limedika” are based on the requirements of the Good Distribution Practice (GDP); the company is a member of the Association of Medicine Wholesale Companies.
JSC “Limedika” has its own Logistics centre and storehouses that enables the company to serve pharmacies, hospitals and other partners with all needed medicaments. The Company retails pharmaceutical products and medical purpose products to more than 1500 Lithuanian pharmacies and hospitals, supplies medicine and cosmetics to shops and optical firms.
JSC “Limedika” co-operates with independent pharmacies and chains of pharmacies in Lithuania, and runs its own chains of pharmacies: JSC “Gintarinė vaistinė” ( www.gintarine.lt) and JSC “Norfos vaitinė” ( www.nvaistine.lt). The Company takes part in tenders and supplies medicaments to hospitals, outpatient departments and other health institutions.
The Company continuously develops chains of its partners, comprising 250 companies and manufacturers of food and pharmaceutical additives.
The range of the “Limedika” products includes pharmaceuticals, food additives, surgical products, rehabilitation equipment, herbs, pregnancy and baby items, cosmetics. Product range of the Company comprises about 4000 pharmaceutical products and more than 9000 medical purpose products.
Pharmaceuticals and medical purpose products are stored ensuring their safety and observing efficient Laws of the Republic of Lithuania on storage of pharmaceuticals. Currently, the total area of storehouses is 3345 m² and complies with the requirements of all construction installation, hygiene and sanitary norms and standards of the European Union. In the year 2009 the medicine collection process was modernized by the installation of the conveyor in the storehouses. Effective logistics ensure quality and timely delivery of medicine to costumers.
At customer’s request the specialized complimentary medicine order and quantitative accounting programme MedInfo is installed in pharmacies. Programming personnel of the Company introduce continuous update of the MedInfo, in order to comply with needs of the most selective costumer.
Veterinary
JSC “Limedika” successfully develops separate line of activity, such as distribution of veterinary medicaments –animal care products, animal vitamins and feed additives. Company represents such well-known manufacturers’ of animal care products like Richter Pharma AG, Sintofarm SPA, Tavet, Tanin Sevnica, Chrysamed etc.

Activity of the JSC “Limedika” comprises not only the distribution of pharmaceutical products, but also provides marketing services. Possessing the long-lasting experience on the pharmacy market, in the sphere of know- how implementation and running its own pharmacies, the “Limedika” ensures successful introduction of products and representation on the market.
